Teak Seat Shower
The bathroom shown here, a small five by nine room located on the east side of town, is the only bathroom in the house. The customers’ went out of town while the bathroom was gutted. The tub was removed, and a walk-in shower with customer ceramic tile floor was built in its place, including wood in the walls for grab bars. The shower walls were tiled with ceramic, and a frosted glass stock door was installed. The customers’ selected a small, wall-hung teak seat to be installed in the shower. The old floor covering was replaced with a neutral ceramic floor tile. The walls were painted a grey-blue that coordinated with their light blue ceramic tile selections. The old toilet was replaced with an elongated bowl ADA compliant toilet, and a new vanity cabinet and top were set inside the doorway. The wood trim was replaced, and the old door was replaced with a sliding pocket door. When the homeowners returned in two weeks, the bathroom was ready for normal use.
